Re: .CN domain names
I've seen this same "ploy" on several boards. There are brokers calling trademark and domain name owners trying to get them to buy the .cn versions.
It is a definite strong-arm play. And .cn domain names are the wild-west right now. And the 'net is such a murky thing over there that it is really hard to tell if somebody is a scammer.
Not sure where owning a .cn version will ever be more important than owning a .ws or a .bz, and we've never spent a nickel on those. I've never read any compelling reason to get China-centric, either.
