Default IP Address and Spam

I have a few clients complaining that they cannot control the amount of unwanted email they're receiving with their filter settings and junk mail folders enabled. In reviewing these complaints, I've found that the clients with the biggest problems are those that are connecting through their own T1 from a local provider. The IP address they're assigned is their domain with a workstation identifier ( fw1.domainname.com ). In my site statistics, I can easily view their IP w/domain.

Does anyone know if an IP with domain initiates more unwanted mail as opposed to those that connect with a shared IP (with a provider like cable)?

I would appreciate any help, especially a solid answer so I can back up my assumption.

Thanks!

Then I would go to the specialists in order of priority:
My answer:
No, spam depends on other more important factors.

But I am not an expert on this, so unless an expert answers, go to one of the forums above and ask.
