Default Doing an SEO mailshot?

Hi there,

I'm thinking about mailing out companies to advertise my web design + SEO services... does anyone here have any experience of what sort of stuff to put on a leaflet? Need to get it to appeal to normal business people. Any suggestions/examples appreciated...

Kind regards,

Joel

From Google

http://www.google.com/support/webmas...y?answer=35291

Quote:
# Be wary of SEO firms that send you email out of the blue.

Amazingly, we get these spam emails too:

"Dear google.com,
I visited your website and noticed that you are not listed in most of the major search engines and directories..."

Reserve the same skepticism for unsolicited email about search engines as you do for "burn fat at night" diet pills or requests to help transfer funds from deposed dictators.
Now if Google advises people to toss any SEO mailings in the trash do you think that's the best route to go to market yourself??

I've been doing this for many years.. and clients seem to find me due to the results they see.

Place enough sites in the upper results for a variety of keyword terms and you won't need to do mailings ;->

Joel was I think talking about a mailshot as opposed to a e-mail campaign.

Joel, can I be a little blunt and I apologise in advance but for someone offering SEO advice the http://www.johanstead.co.uk/mctimoneyhome.html
has not been optimised to any great shape. Sorry but if were a potential client I would need to see a demonstration.
