Hell All'
I've switched from speedtouch 330 modem to speedtouch 576 wireless router modem,I'm not networking but i simply switched because of modem driver problems, however my previous modem showed 2.2mbps local area connection but the wireless router modem shows 100 mbps. i'm having a pretty hard time to set it up properly,AOL help useless as usu. a friend recommended this site and i hope i get help here. My OS is Win Xp pro SP2 32bit with 64 bit processor/Norton Internet security 2005,Aol Broadband premium,Asus A8V Deluxe mobo.2 gig ram. thank you all in advance |

I (and my company) have dealt with these modem/routers before and we have also setup AOL through them.
The reason you are showing 100Mbs is most likely due to connecting through the 'network' ports. Your PC now thinks its on a LAN (Local Area Network) and therefore the speed of the network card is what you are seeing. As for AOL, AOL does NOT use the default settings for routers. You need to configure the router with your username and password too. This page may help you: http://www.aol.co.uk/products/broadb...rking_faqs.adp You are welcome to email (jonathan.burrows@anythingit.net) or PM me if you have any further trouble. |
