Default Slow Server Problems /

We have just uploaded a new web application which allows members of staff to logg on and upload their time sheet.

Windows 2000.

The program was running extremely slowly and has now completely crashed.

It was suggested by the company who have written the program that we need to tweak our IIS settings. Does anyone know which settings these will be and where they will be found?

Also we would like to find out how many members of staff are connecting at any one time. Is this possible? If so, where can I see this?

Thanking you in advance.
Kind regards
Emma

If they're telling you to tweak you IIS server for their app, they're going to have to tell you what to tweak for their app. There are a lot of things that can be changed, but without knowing the specifics of their program we'd be making wild guesses in offering advice.

As for how many at once, it's easy in Apache, but I haven't looked for that in IIS in a long time. Can you use something like livestats to track it?

Brian.

Thanks Brian,

That makes sense. When the message came back that it needed to be tweaked - it seemed that I should know what they meant!

I will go back to them.

Kind regards
Emma
