Default IIS 5.0 and default log properties

Hi there,

This is a really stupid question, but I don't know the answer to it.

Whenever I set up a site, I enable the logs for it so that they can be imported into the Live Stats. However, I don't always remember to set all of the properties I want (specifically the referrer).

Is there any way to change the defaults as far as what log properties are and aren't enabled?

Default Additional properties can be enabled.

If you were the administrator of the server, it's a very simple matter to change the specifications of what is recorded in the log file, including changing the location to which it's saved.

However, I believe that you would have a rights issue trying to change the rights yourself. A simple email to the administrator of your hosting company should do the trick nicely, though.

Default

Hi, mattyw.

I do have administrator rights to the server, and I can change the properties myself.

The problem is that I want to change the default properties that get assigned so that I don't have to remember to do it manually. The big one is the referrer: I often forget to check that.
