Default Overclocking

I've just bought a Vantec Iceberq4 Premium cooling fan for my nvidia fx5200 graphics card because I want to overclock it. (I just bought Doom 3 and I want to run it a bit more smoothly). I've enabled the extra tab in the display properties to overclock it. It has an optimal setting, does anyone know if I can go over this?

Also I have bought a G-Power pro cooling kit for my AMD Athlon XP 2800 as I'm going to overclock that also. Anyone know how far I can push that too?

Also if i'm overclocking these, I may affect the Ram, does anyone think that this will need to be cooled also?

Cheers for any help =)

lol - i'd love to help you but not didly-squat about overclocking. However, I will check what responces you do get as would like to squeeze more juice out of my machine too.

I managed to push it to a 2.3ghz from a 2.08ghz but it was certainly not stable! I got the graphics card to go over a third faster but then doom ran REALLY well for a while and then the game would crash!

I wonder if changing the vcore would help? I just dont want to fry anything lol!
