Default MSN Messenger Plus!

Hi, i recently downloaded a program called MSN Messenger Plus! an add-on for MSN Messenger. This lets you have sound and more. But i noticed that i have a blue bar on the toolbar offering sometimes inappropriate material, and i get icons on my desktop appear sometimes, is this spyware or ad-ware and how can i remove it ( i have removed the program and it has not gone) :(
Thanks

I know that it isn't affiliated with Microsoft in any way - but anything that proclaims itself so loudly with a name like 'MSN Messenger' is clearly up to no good.

Last week I had to clean a system for someone. They had several viruses and an annoying smiley face thing which I'm certain came from MSN Messenger Plus! - which they had also loaded.

It was easy enough to get rid of - I disabled it in tthe system startup utility and uninstalled it using an uninstaller.

To remove any spyware, download and install Spybot Search & Destroy.

Just out of interest, what sounds does it let you have? The only sound that is of any value is the actual sound of whoever you're talking to - in which case use NetMeeting or somesuch. If it is sound emoticons - which I suspect it is - what possible use are they?

Default I like it

I have MSG Plus! and I like it very much, when you install MSG Plus! it asks you if you would like to install the adverts, all you do is select no. Simple

Good Look
