Implementing a Comment System thats free and easy

Hi its Dave, from www.Davethejerk.com, as you can see on my page i have a link for comments. But it doesnt work because i haven't figured out how to make a comment section, that says the number of comments and takes you to an alternate page about the topic and displays the comments.

Which or whats the best option for my site, and how do you make it work. i know i need mysql which i have and something called php, other than that im lost.
