i have a site that uses template pages.
all of the pages get their information from the database. my question is how do i prevent uses from seeing thispage2.php & thispage3.php when the page they are supposed to see is thispage1.php. Thanks in advance.

Because the site uses several template pages to show content, if a user types in thispage2.php they will see the content but i dont want them to see the content delivered on thispage2.php . I only want the user to see the content delivered from thispage1.php Maybe im explaining this wrong

i figured i was explaining it wrong.
ok i have several pages. thispage1.php thispage2.php thispage3.php all three pages deliver the same content. the only thing thats different about the pages are some colors and the ads that are shown. now if its only meant for the end user to see thispage1.php, how do i pervent them from seeing the other pages.

But if that's what he/she wanted to do, why not just delete thispage2.php, etc?
All I can imagine is that you want to be able to display different skins for different users. If so, I wouldn't do it that way! Instead, you can detect the correct skin from the users login and put in the necessary code to load the right files all within the single thispage1.php so that different users can see different skins but they all reference the same page name. |
