Default installing phbb

The chess clock on top of my computer tells me that I have spent 71 hours trying to install this program.
I read things like

"This utility was designed to automatically install popular open source web applications into your website at the click of a button, without having to manually download and upload distribution packages, change configuration files, create and upload databases, rename files, or change file and directory permissions. We have done the legwork of making sure each application will work as expected when installed on our server, so that all you will have to do is use it. Each installer module also includes an "Uninstall" feature, and documentation for the application being installed. For a live demo of any application below, please visit AutoInstaller.com, and click on any of the program icons."

I read everything. . I understand none of it. I am no better off now than I was 71 hours ago.

Who write these instructions? . . I am not intuitive. the instruction always presume I know something. .

It takes forever to work out what it is that I am presumed to know.

Default Re: installing phbb

That sounds like quite a conundrum - reading all, understanding none...

I'm not sure about that whole autoinstaller thing... why not just download phpbb3 from phpbb.com and install it manually? If you have questions, you can ask at the phpbb forums...or ask here...

wow...didn't realize that the O.P. was from over 8 months ago on this one heh Tubby - are you still working on this lol
