Posting online form into Excel?

I have a form for members to update contact info that also needs to be used for mailmerges and the like.
Using a mailto-type posting method (below) doesnot always work to properly send the information.
FORM METHOD="POST" ACTION="mailto:xx@yahoo.com?subject=Contact Preferences" enctype="text/plain"

Is there a post method available to populate an online Excel file?
What would a proper ACTION attribute be?
enctype="text/csv"? (just a guess.)

There is nothing to do this directly. You'll need a backend script that can process the input and create your files. Depending on your platform, you'll have lots of choices for languages, but it will take a script and not just a new enctype and action. You'll be using the post method and an action of whatever script you wind up using.
