Default MS Access "Numeric Field Overflow" Error

I have a database that occasionally will not let me run my queries. It gives a "Numeric Field Overflow" message and will not allow me to run the query unless I reboot the system.

My computer has plenty of power and it is a simple database so I do not know how rebooting is helping but it works every time. I moved this database to another computer and the same error occurs. I have one linked table that is linked from an Excel file and it seems to be the databases that have linked tables that do this. Please let me know if anyone knows a fix for this problem in Access.

Thanks,

Rich
