Wow! I think I'm over my head?

I'm a photographer who would like to create a online stock photo images for sale on the web.

I'm going to need plenty of advice and help here.
The problem is not creating the site.
The problems is image transfer and payment, setting up a code, for transfering images after payment.

I just don't know how to do that.

The transfer of images is a pain. Depending on the amount images you are intending to store, your storage space could be huge. We are moving more towards jpg2000 files for quality of image / file size.
