Default Problems with DTS package

Hi,
I am running a DTS pacakge which reads from a table in sql and writes it to a text file .I also have an activeX script which accepts a user parameter and executes a procedure .On success of this , the export functionality occurs. Now the stored proc runs fine by itself and the export functionality runs fine as a stand alone. However put these two together in a package and it throws a "INVALID POINTER" error .I am lost and have no clue on whats happening. All suggestions (and hopefully solutions) are welcome. Thanks in advance.
Jay

Default

Got it working. I used to have an active -X script which executed a stored proc and then did the transformation. I replaced this with a combination of an activeX script which accepts a user inputted variable and then a sql task which ran the stored proc and then proceeded to the export functionality. This new approach worked, although i am sure there is some way to make it run in the initial manner.

Default FileSystemObject

you can use the file system object direct from sql.
That way you can create a stored procedure that writes the results to a file.
Then schedule a task that calls the sproc.
That is probably the most robust and elegant way, hey, but if it's working who's complaining.
