Default A List of Good Directories to Post your Articles To

Hi

I have been researching Article Directories and thought it would be a good idea if we could compile a list of the best ones.

So far I have on my list:

GoArticles.com
Ezine Article Submission
Article Alley

Can anyone else recommend a good Article Directory so help build this list.

Many thanks

I've read about these three sites in a recent discussion in another forum. Have you ever tried posting articles in those sites? If so, I'll be keen to know how much time they take to approve the submitted articles.

Go Articles, I've never had a problem with. There are editorial guidelines, but your article gets added pretty quickly.

Article Alley are OK, it took about a day for them to approve my article.

I heard yesterday from Ezine article Submission because I had too many links in my article (that was posted a week ago). They have an exhaustive list of guidelines that you should read through prior to sending anything (that applies to all of the directories). At least EAS were kind enough to let me know to change my article rather than rejecting it outright.

Another one to add (ironically stumbled upon on this site):

Free Content Articles Directory and Search Engine for your Ezine or Website - iSnare.com

On the same note, does anybody know of any online press release directories? I know they exist, but I need one to announce my changes.

Default Content Marketing + Lead Generation

Another free article marketing site to consider is http://www.leadmaverick.com. The free version allows unlimited content postings (including podcasts) plus an RSS feed specifically for the content posted.

On the down side the free account includes ads, you can't change the logo and you can not include hyperlinks (features of the paid version). It does come with some reporting features on viewing patterns.

The nice thing is that all of the articles you post include an RSS specific to the what was posted. You can then use this RSS feed in ITunes (for Podcasts) or other sites for additional content syndication. All postings are automatically sent to Ping-O-Matic.

Not bad features for free...considering I created it

PS Also check out PR.com: Directory of Businesses Jobs Press Releases Products Services Articles - Find Companies. Great TTL to Google. (And I did not create that one...)

Leadmaverick, I am unsure if you read my original post correctly. I am looking to compile a list of article directories that readers can submit their articles to.

But all I find on your website is lead generation. The only articles are about your company.

Please clarify. Are we on the same wavelength?

Default Article Directory is lead generation

D, I think we are. The www.leadmaverick.com site is where you create the account. Everything posted (ie articles) is then posted to http://directory.leadmaverick.com.

The reason we called it Lead Maverick is because we are huge fans of content marketing. So when people go to the main site, they can create an account and then post their content on the directory site. The DIFFERENCE is that we believe that articles do and should drive traffic to the author's website.

So we call it Lead Maverick because we hope that the articles posted and that appear on the directory site will help drive leads, interest, etc to the author site.

So in summary adding articles to drive leads (traffic) to the authors site?

I hope this is OK to post here as we have a lot of articles from businesses within our directory.leadmaverick.com site that are posted from people that create an account at www.leadmaverick.com.

I've great experience with eZineArticle - and correct they do not reject submitted articles outright if there is any problem.

Anyway, the list we have got here is really helpful. And one more suggestion please. It is not that easy to write 5-10 unique quality articles each day. So, is it fine to submit the same article in all these directories or use a little bit of variation of the same article?

Isnare.com has a service where they'll submit to a bunch of sites for $2.00. Most people however tell me just submitting to the top sites is sufficient

Thought I'd share just in case though

If you can rewrite the same article with little variation, then it is always helpful.

If you want to submit the same article to multiple article directories, then limit yourself to a 3-4 directories. The search engine will take the first and doesn't consider the others as they are just duplicates.

I use the following:

amazines.com
goarticles.com
isnare.com
ideamarketers.com
articlesnatch.com
articledashboard.com
stuffdaily.com
quizilla.com
buzzle.com

I do not use article alley anymore because it has nofollow.

Also, make sure you submit to buzzle separately, using an original article, or you will not be approved.

One other note: Ezine articles is slow to approve (7 days), but if you sign up as a paid member, you get articles up in a day.

The best of the best. I would also add work.com to the list as they will add you to business.com as well. They also get a fair amount of traffic.
