Content Required for DVD, Music, Books & Games

Hi,

We are setting up a site for etailing DVD's, Music, Books & Games. We are looking to buy or license content, which provides us with specific info on the above, and preferably Region 2 information on the DVD's.

If any of you have this content, or know where I can get this content from please let me know. I am trying IMDb, but they are too busy to respond!

If you know of any other source let me know.

Essentially you need a business model. One way is to buy wholesale and sell retail. Another alternative is to become a wholesaler yourself.

Learn the basics of wholesale distribution and what DVD wholesellers actually do.

Another alternative is to become a content producer. For this you will need to develop a business model where it makes sense for people to upload videos and music -- more specifically music and movies people are willing to pay for. Producing means contacts, people skills, management skills, and an uncanny ability to spot good talent.

Hi,

I guess I have posted the topic incorrectly, when I say "content" I mean information on the DVD, CD, Book or Game eg. Movie Name Superman, the thumbnail image, director name, actors etc etc. which we can use to populate our database.

I am not looking at buying DVD's I am looking at Infomration on them, the kind provided by www.imdb.com

Please let me know if you can help me there.

I take it you have already read the Content Licensing page and filed your request using the contact form specifically for content licensing requests of IDMb.

Too bad, because there are query scripts for that out.

You'll have to check with alternatives, like Reel.
