Hi can anyone recommend a CMS package for a photo gallery linked to a cart so people can buy photos online?

Also interested in a package for a hotel

CMS systems aren't content discussion. Photograph composition would be.

Try Zenphoto and Photostack. Keep in mind no CMS is an online version of Frontpage. If you think PHP coding is easier than HTML then have at it.

...just make sure to pose those questions in the web design section -- not the content discussion.

You would think content managment systems would have something to do with content. ...Mostly they're technology designed with SEO in mind, sometimes. But not content, for that you might want to get into information architecture and information design.
