Default Traffic VS Leads, Convertion ratio

Hi there:

I am not sure if I am in the right forum.

Here are my websites:
http://www.balivillas.com
http://www.indonesiavillas.com
http://www.balicruises.com

Amongst the three of them, www.balivillas.com has many traffics; with no doubt, it is search engine friendly.

My question is how to convert these traffics into leads?

I read www.tkcarsites.com - and they say that average convertion ration between traffic and leads ia about 1 to 6 percent.

Even www.indonesiavillas.com and www.balicruises.com have less traffic but their conversion ratio are better than www.balivillas.com

Any idea and suggestions?

Thank alot,

--Mike

Default Text or Picture

Sorry, it's me again.

Just wondering, do you think in the above case there is too much description and less photos? Or photos are not interesting enough?

Thanks in advance

Before everyone holds forth an opinion, the truth is the more variables the harder it is to pin down a cause. Adding some photos could be a good step one. However, if that doesn't work, Step Two would be to make the bali site as much like the indonesia site as possible.

This way you are more likely to be testing the content, not the layouts and/or navigation.

If you can get photos and text roughtly similar to the higher conversion site, you have what's called a baseline. It may just be, amongst visitors to the sites, indonesia has better name recognition.

That said, I rather like the balivillas.com copy.

You are to be applauded. Most site owners will never test their content. Or if they test, they won't test in any meaningful way. Yet they'll redesign without so much of a reason that they are bored with the site. With a few exceptions for the more poorly designed sites (both of yours are quite good looking) content testing has the greatest chance for payoff.

Mike:

There're several facts that I can see; first, your bali site is ranked very well in major search engines with top keywords. Content is well written and photos are quite interesting.

On the other hand, there're many villas in your place. People will likely to spend not too much time to browse websites to compare.

Just like many famous international hotels such as fourseasons.com or ritzcarlton.com - your indo site as well as cruise site offers the above possibility; meaning people go to your site, quickly see what you offer and if they're interested, they can go deeper.

To conclude, you can make your entry page(s) more attractive (yes, pictures speak more) that people interested to explore.

I do agree with some of the points raised by the others. One, include more photos. Two, break up the present content into more pages. Three, jazz up the look and layout to match indonesiavillas.

But I feel the reason you have more traffic but fewer conversions at Balivillas is that you have too many irrelevant or unrelated keywords which could mean many of your visitors coming there were looking for something else when they landed up at "balivillas".
