Default keyword & keyword phrase density...

Am a bit curious about this similar sounding, I know/know-not stuff - how does one differentiate between keyword density and keyword phrase density? Keyword i do, but keyword phrase, am not too sure how to arrive at measurements. Eg: If i have 'distance learning degree program' as my target keyword phrase and i happen to use them in splits at various places in my visible content and as a whole in some places, then, how do i arrive at my keyword phrase density? Do i need to consider where they appear only as phrase or is that the split word appearance also adds to it... Am really not sure..

Dont worry about keyword density %. This is very outdated. Just write good content that makes sense to the end user and you will be fine.

I would almost agree. Still I use keyword density for my statistics.

I used to have been approving/disapproving articles for my site, and knowing keyword density for necessary keyword was useful. Because when you need article about car insurances and (everything can happen) the keyword density for 'car insurances' is zero - this is bad.

Sure zero is bad :), but a well written article on car insurance would certainly contain the keyword "car insurance" throughout it, wouldn't it?

Default Density

I agree with Incrediblehelp. Don't worry about density. Just make sure your 2 or 3 word phrases appear on more than one occasion.

Isn't this like telling fish about how great bicycle travel is? It wastes your time and annoys the fish.

Well maybe for a content fanatic like yourself, but for newbies, maybe not.
