Default Global Warming!

Global warming has become a major threat and causes quite an issue these past few years. Everyone should be aware that if there is no action to alleviate the issue of global warming, or “climate change” a term used by the media, then we shall have to suffer the expected consequences of its effects in the future.

Global warming is something that everyone should be aware of. It is true that science and technology made advancement over the years. But in the process of its development, the one that suffered is our planet. We degrade forests; we pollute waters, air and the environment. The resulting factor is global warming or what we commonly refer to as climate change.

the world has been evolving ever since we lived in this planet and it will still continue to change. the climate change thingy will still continue to go on even if we go green or something. polluting the planet and climate change are two different things. you can't stop climate change but we can reduce pollution

That's a very good point.

Past couple of days has been relentlessly rainy. The other day was really balmy for December, 60F and a constant downpour.

It should only rain like this during the summer during thunderstorms and the like. This happens all the time now.

I was over at the local Quick Check getting a cup of coffee. People in town go there often (really small town). I start talking with an acquaintance and we both remember snow being on the ground from mid-December straight thru until at least March, with massive mounds of snow piled up high at the ends of cul-de-sacs, that, as kids, were a lot of fun because you could play in them, build tunnels in them, etc.

Some kids from high school were in there and one of them asks us, "Was it really like that?" - and now it hit me, I'm not that old (36), but to the kids growing up, what used to be a fairly consistent snowfall which would stick to the ground through the winter, is now an occasionally rare snowfall that melts away in the rains two to three days later.

I'll take 27 and snowing over 35 and heavy rain any day. Winter here is turning into the wet season and nothing worse than wet than being wet at near freezing temperatures.

This is the problem that we can't solve unless people have discipline and have a sense of world preservation. We do know that since the economy boosted, nature literally suffered. I think that there's no way to stop this now; there's no other way of getting the past back.. what we can only do now is to atleast help the environment through our own little way.
