Not much here. I spent the day chopping wood and working on a website.

Deepsand helped me find a problem with my code (but he was NO help with the firewood!)

Then he whined a while, because I couldn't find the cheese.

Now, I'm watching a movie, and popping in here now and then.

By the way, I was salingpusa myself here, just a couple of months ago!

Spent most of my time down south. We worked out of Cavite, but spent most of our time in Mindanao and Zamboanga.

Good idea; but, with one fatal flaw. The appointment is with a local machine, and a human located 200 mi. away. I can remotely screw with the machines where he is, but not with his phone system. On second thought, since his phones are on his DSL trunk, I could, but I'm too bleary eyed at the moment to pull it off in short order. And, on third thought, his initial contact will be via cell phone.

BTW, I'd a reply to your most recent PM nearly finished when the power went. I did have enough time to back it up to the HD, but not enough to both save all of my other open work and do a floppy copy. When I get home, sometime Sat. night, I'll get it off to you.

Time now for me to crash; at least I can set the alarm for 0730 rather than 0600.

Took the cushions from the sofa, laid them on the carpet, placed my briefcase at one end, and put a throw cushion on top of it as a pillow; not great, but passable. I've slept on worse; it beat the hell out of some of the terrain I've camped on, not to mention some of the strange places I've woke up in.

Well, if you'd move to a more temperate climate, were one didn't constantly sweat so profusely ...

None of my clients are suits; in fact, most are about a far from such as one can get, so that a daily morning ritual is wholly unnecessary. Fits well with my usual Easy Rider look.

Yep; that does suck.

Though I do try to make sure that there's enough in the thermos when I turn in, sometimes I over-estimate its contents. And, sometimes I'm just too damned tired to stumble downstairs, diddle with the coffee maker, and wait for it to do its job; I know that I'll pay the price in the morning, but the needs of the moment prevail.

In such cases, if absent a pressing need to get up, the solution is to just go back to sleep.
