I'd have to advise against it. Their stock may tank any day, since I figured out how to hook my coffee maker direct to my IV line, via the pressure washer.

Trying to continue my learning curve on php and css, and brushing up on my html. I've been trying reworking my BIL's site, adding a bunch of new products, and generally reconfiguring it.

Looks as though we may not even get any rain out of Jimena. It's downgraded quite a bit, and may soon kick out into the Pacific.

I logged more than a few hours on a 360. My next to last duty station was CinCLantFlt/COSL.

My boss was a O-6 that didn't see anything strange about directing a brand new Ensign to develop a program for a pet project, even though my background was engineering.

Learned a lot, though.

Cussed a lot in the process, too. I think I wore out two keypunch machines all by myself!

My all-time favorite machine is the IBM 1401; military loved it too. Still got a complete source deck for 2-Tape Autocoder; now all I need is the machine.

I don't remember if they were 026 or 029, DS. I'd have to look them up and see if they look familiar to me. I just remember that I ended up with about 5300 cards in the program, and my database was six or seven boxes!

A part of my Navy career I'm quite content to have left behind me! If I'd had any idea what I was letting myself in for, I'd never have gone LDO!

Yep; they and the 024s were a PITA. Still, they beat the hell out of the earlier manual punches.

I learned to type on a manual typewriter. And, despite my dislike for it, I actually got to be so good on the 026 that, when I had to switch to the 029, I sucked!

And, since the 029 keyboard was essentially that of a Selectric, I didn't do any better on a 1620.

To this day, I'm still not truly proficient on a keyboard. I can frequently be found using the "Columbus" method - search for a key and land on it.
