I use Eurocard. If I buy for USD 500 or more, I may get a phone call after some minutes from Eurocard. I have been shopping online, especially books from various bookstores and sites in the USA, for years without any problem.
I think AmericanExpress tried the same method as we use on loading mobile phones. You buy a one time card for e.g. USD 500, load your account and delete the card since it is no longer valid. But as far as I know, AmericanExpress left that method since it was mare expensive to handle (make and sell one time cards etc) than payment fraud. But you may know this better than me and the secondary (debit card) account is a good solution that makes shopping online more secure. |
