Default Wine not whine!

I am interested in wine and think we should find out what the best wine is that can be bought without having to be a millionaire. Where do people get their wine from the local store or over the net?

I get mine from a local shop, although I hope that many ppl will buy from the Internet soon cos we are building an e-commerce site for one of my customers - selling wine!

I get mine from a local shop as well. I haven't seen a good online wine seller as yet, so do let me know when the site is up and running Jabber_uk.

As for best wines, my personal favourite for white is Sauvignon Blanc especially the Californian/Australian varieties and for Red, Cabernet Sauvignon of any variety (thus far).

Sparkling, I do tend to favour Cava over Champy, I find it lighter and more pleasant in general.

A local shop will be able to recommend a wine based on your preference (sweet? dry?). If you purchase online, sometimes you're required to buy a quantity - what if you don't like all the wine you just purchased?

My preference is Sauvignon Blanc. (I'm fairly allergic to red wine.)

Default Sparkling

For something different in a sparkling wine, try Müller Thurgau - made from the red and white grapes so it's a little sweet; not too expensive.

Has anyone had Georgian wine? Apparently it was sold exclusively to Russia but now set to be distributed to UK.

I am told that is an excellent breed of wine and I am sure I will tell you all about it when I get some!

Default Interesting site...

I'm not into wine..but came across an interesting site http://www.wineandspiritsmagnifique.com.

I never developed the taste for any alcohol. Sometimes it's a bit lonely when my husband and
friends are talking about good wine and ask me to taste it.
I have NO clue to what I am supposed to be tasting in the stuff and I grew up in the California wine country!

I will take an occasional margarita though :)

Webnauts is the one who modified the post. He removed daisyjmv's links, which are a bunch of affiliate links.
