Would you believe that the webmaster of this website was lying on his bed one evening, wondering how he could make a few extra buck to pay for his education.

He decided to whack up a site offering advertising space for $1 per pixel. {{{Four months}}} later has made ALL but $1,000,000.00

It just goes to show, all you need is a unique idea and the sky is the limit.

The last 1000 pixels are up for grabs on eBay now. Currently $6,300 and NINE days to go.

Yeah that's been up quite a while, a whole load of copycat sites are around too.
I never really liked the idea, just looks like a mess, but congrats to the guy that got rich from it.

If this guy is smart enough to create a simple website that has created $1,000,000 in four months, then all that's I need to hear and he's a hero to me.

Whether or not it is a good idea or not cannot even be debated. Absolutely amazing, and good luck to the guy. wow

Now the last 1000 pixels up to $21,400 on ebay!

This is quite old news by the way....

I agree with you both - the whole thing is stupid, looks crap, and isn't even good advertising - so why, oh why???

Having said all that, well done to the guy who came up with it.

The guy made some crazy money with this simple idea. Its great advertising because of all the viral discussions (such as this thread) about the page. Spin offs include a guy who will buy a Ferrari then put ads on it and also a guy who is doing something similar to smash his Viper.
