What an absolute star. I've just seen Valentino Rossi win the Philip Island (Australia) Moto GP.

Having incurred a 10 second penalty he, from the front mind you, went on to win by 5 seconds (15 on the track)!

Especially if you consider that when he initially moved up from the 250cc class he was mostly going backwards in wet races as he was so nervous of the extreme power delivery!

Not to take anything away from Valentino's natural talents, Mick Doohan (a legend himself) has had a terrific influence as his mentor during his assimulation.

He has done it again!

In winning the last race of the season (Spain) he has equalled Agostini's record for consecutive podium places.

Reported to be moving to Yamaha next season we will have to wait until April to find out what else he can achieve?
