Default Do you forget passwords?

When it comes to city maps when Im driving and rebembering passwords, I have a sort of dyslexia, which can cause a lot of wrong turns.

Is it just me? Or can you easily remember that when you goto: xyz.com your unser name is QNT58462 and your password is Cr8Y4203?

I put them in a folder so I can find them (usually) but even this doesn't always help.

What do you do?
Michael

Default Do you forget passwords?

It happens to the best of us, but one answer can be found in a FREE download called Passwordsafe. It allows you to create a file of the various passwords you use to access different programs. You'll find the details at http://www.counterpane.com/passsafe.html (note the threefold sss), and it's worthwhile creating a desktop shortcut to the program or, better still, making it an addition to your Start menu

Personally I wouldn't trust any third party password program as they tend to be spyware, such as Gator. I only use about six different passwords, all are a mix of alphanumeric characters. If you do have problems remembering passwords then may I recommend using Opera or Mozilla as your browser as both have a built in password manager that stores your passwords for sites.

Pretty much the same concept as mdajah, I purchased a little address book and wrote down the url, email addresses, passwords, and any other pertinent information. It's really very helpful and I feel that it is safer than storing them in my computer or through a third party co.

I have one username/pass for stuff that I don't really care much for.

Another for stuff that I'd rather nobody knew but it wouldn't be a disaster if they did.

And a third for stuff that I definitely don't want anyone to do know (eg. banking).

That way I don't have too much to remember.
