I am being harrased by this website webmaster guy.

Each and everyday he fills out my form page with his spam for his website. I looked up who it is. The information is below. I have emailed him and asked him to stop spamming my site, yet he continues. What can I do? Any help would be appreciated.

Try putting a captcha on your form.

Can't you ban this IP address ? I'm thinking of something like : if request is from the specified IP - don't allow it.
Also, using captcha usually helps a lot.

It's probably a bot trying to use your email script to send sp@m.

Block the IP and, as MJ said, set up a captcha to prevent automated submissions.

Her are some QUICK fixes:

You can block the IP address using the following statement in your htaccess file:

deny from xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx (xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx is the nuissance IP address)
or
deny from xxx.xxx.xxx.
or
deny from buyonlinebest.info


This method doesn't always work. Sometime you can still send form requests and see some text even though your IP address is blocked.



I usually use a form fix that looks like this:
<?php if ($_POST && $_SERVER['HTTP_REFERER'] == yourcompany.com/form.php) { ?>

The above statement disallows anyone from submitting to your form from a location other than your form.

Also, i have used java script functions that work fairly well. You can search for 'block ip java' to get tons of scripts that work.


Conclusion:
Try the htaccess method first, and see if it works with your server. If you're experiencing complications try one of the other two methods.

If you use asp(x), unfortunately i haven't tested any block IP's. I've just limited the number of entry's per IP.
