The dark side of Mr Putin's Russia on Cnn 15.00 GMT
I look forward to see that program.
Facts to me: - Russia's red army fried Northern Norway from the nazies and retreated. That is the only place I know of where Russia's red army are celebreated every may.
- Norway has never been in war with Russia. May God forbid that.
- Russian people are deep. If you disagree, you may read Fjodor Dostojevskij. From the movie Doctor Zhivago. One person says. He is a good man. The other replies, "The devil take good men" (typical Russian
?)
- NATO left Iceland. According to Norwegian Tv, Russia promised to defend that small island of "former Norwegians".
- I think Theodore Roosevelt was much better for Russia than Bush and Churchill.
Questions: - Who started something that may be interpreded as agression, antimissile shilds in Europe?
- Why not a program about the dark sides of Norway (there are many that I can tell about) and the USA?

You're still doing the same old logic flaws.
What SOME Russians, or Norwegians, do, is not indicative of what ALL Russians, or Norwegians, do.
People are people, not generalisations.
If I believed that all Norwegians were like you, I'd have nothing to do with any of them.

No problem for me to take a bayer with you.
There are many sorts of logic: - Mathematical, cold and hard.
- Emotional.
- Philosophical.
One example of emotional logic:
The "sames" (only native Norwegian minority group) rights to a river that was used to produce electricity for the large Norwegian community. About 20 years later, former Norwegian prime minister Gro Harlem Brundtland was asked about the biggest mistake she did as prime minister. She was brave enough to admit that that project was her biggest mistake.
I only stated some facts and posed some question's. Don't misunderstand me. Of course I am for press freedom.

I have no problem with that, and I do not generalize any more than you.

Bush is great for Russia, he makes Putin look like an angel. Of course Bush saw Putin's soul. Of course, Churchill saw Stalin's soul.
Of course, Teddy saw japan only.

Re: The dark side of Mr Putin's Russia on Cnn 15.00 GMT
It's the American way of government.
There must always be a demonic enemy intent on wiping out the US population.
Russia, and the Communists, were good for a long time, but then some silly bastard who didn't understand beat them down, and they were out of the picture.
There was no frightful enemy, and the people might have time to realise that their own government was taking them to the cleaners, so they tried with Osama (an Ollie North invention), but he didn't seem threatening enough.
Then Iraq was brought into the picture, with its weapons of mass destruction and its dreadful ogre-like dictator.
Americans are starting to wake up to that old number, so a new one has to be found (once they've extracted all the oil).
China looks like a likely candidate, if they can just get some horror stories in place (it doesn't matter how far out they are - it's easy to get red-blooded Americans to wave their flags, and send their sons to be slaughtered), but it would be best if they could get Russia back in as public enemy number one. That's tried and tested, and the anti-Russian propaganda is still in place, just waiting to be switched back on !

My favourite and most reliable source on Russia is a Hans-Wilhelm Steinfeld. He is well educated and have been a Norwegian correspondent to Russia for years. I know of no other person from the west that know Russia better. He can be critical on Russia, and I think he says what he means. I saw a program on Norwegian Tv before the election. He was not so critical to this election as he uses to be. I followed the election on Cnn and Norwegian Tv.
You may be able to find more information on Hans-Wilhelm Steinfeld in French and English if you Google his name.
I noticed these observations being stated on a Tv program during the election:
Russia is too big for our western democracy, today. - China is on their developement to a market economy.
- Communism has been good for the poor in China.
The communists in Russia got 11 % and some extreme right wings a little less. May be the Putin solution was the best after all. I think he would have won by a large margin, even without the manipulations of the election that is reported in the media.
There is no perfect human being, there is no perfect nation. The only hope is that we can improve.

I just celebrated my 60 year's birth day so I feel relatively grown up.
P.S. I think we find the best democracy on some small islands in the Pacific. I have heard that on some of these islands people do not kow the word steal. They can not comprehend the concept.

How many people think like you? most of people are busy in their daily schedule rather care on these things, I personally donīt think the democracy will be under threat for next 50 years if all democratic country stay united.
