Re: WebProWorld 1,000+ Club
This is a little confusing. What about consistency?
I once was a WPW Pro. MVP's are as far as I can see now, WPW veterans. In my personal view, a WPW Pro must be more professional than a WPW veteran. Then, what about the 1000+ Club, more professional than moderators? The only members I have seen in this club so long is dburdon http://www.webproworld.com/members/dburdon.html and me, so I am in good company
On Spray Chat no: Chat - Worldsbiggestchat - Den kuleste chatten i verden!
where I have been a member in more than 4 years, I am Admiral of fourth class, because I have been chatting too little compared to those who are Admirals.
By the way I like the 1000+ club. May be 500+ club and a new club for each 500 new posts.
This is funny, and somebody would leave because of the new ranking system. Now I am more confused, but on a much higher level.

Why do you get confused Kgun? somebody else makes these decisions. There is nothing really to get confused about. you just read what it says besides your name. . That's It. . .
The rest needs only a simple attitude of acceptance. It is much like life, If you accept what is, the whole world looks rosy. Problems only occur with an unaccepting attitude. you can hate the tax system, you can hate fat chick, you can hate skinny chicks, you can hate the traffic. You can fight the tax man. you can avoid skinny chicks. But life will not be fun - it will be one long struggle, a never ending battle to your eventual death bed. . Accept what comes with open arms. . (this is the meaning of life)
Looking at what others have is a surefire way to misery -someone will always seem to have more -
You should have given away such thoughts way before you were 40. . .

Tubby, I do not fully agree, especially when the rating system is, I stress is IMO, inconsistent and a little confusing.
To cite from Mike's thread:
"Titles are different from Ranks. MVP for example will be a Rank. Rank is displayed below the title and will generally be in the form of an image. Currently the only example of Rank is what you see on moderator's names (the little stars).
Ranks will most likely involve special permissions, access and/or other perks. More info on Ranks as it becomes available".
I have noted that.
Then you have the little green RepRank. Mine is zero after more than 2000 posts.

I only know of three members in that category, you, incrediblehelp and greeneagle.
Then what are "Reputations"? How are they acquired?

Yes Ggun, I know you do not fully agree. I understand that you like to understand what input adds to what, and what takes place before a result is concluded.
I must admit My nature is quite different from yours in this respect (one of the reasons I read your posts)
Usually I simply just 'trust the results' (most matters) I find this totally non-confusing. I must admit I try to avoid 'confusion' like the plague. . . But 'Kgun' seems to seek confusion so that he might de-confuse it. I like that . . . It places before me questions and answers that never occurred to me, sometimes I get a perchance enlightenment. a sort of "Oh. . . so that's how that works! - 'finding without the seeking'. . . Nice.
Basically I have an accepting nature. I guess I just push that barrow sometimes.
Keep posting Mate, I expect some others here have found a mist enveloping the topic of 'rank'

Re: WebProWorld 1,000+ Club
