If I don't want to spend the $80 for Nero or Roxio, are there any other good products available for less?

Right now, I'm testing a 30 day trial of Magic DVD Creator. It is only $25.

DVD Shrink and ImgBurn aren't bad at all. however, these just rip the movie... you need a disc-burning software (like Nero) to actually burn the ripped movie to a disc.

Doom 9 is a great place to learn more about DVD back-ups.

Ashampoo studio 6 is good, and very low cost. I use it myself, without problems.
