you're so perceptive about the UK.
In the 1970s the UK (labor) unions said they wanted to dismantle British manufacturing industry. Apparently they were working under instructions of Leonid Brezhnev.
In the 1980s Margaret Thatcher, under instruction of milton Freidman, did it for them.
Now we all drive Japanese and German cars and wear clothes made in China.
Somehow the rest of the world haven't worked out what a pit the country has become. Today our fastest growing industry is processing asylum seekers.
