Default Banned from SEO Chat in 25 minutes

Well I was going through Google and saw a mention of Burf on this forum. So I thought, hey I post in the alternative search engine area a little bit of info with no links etc, like a intro post about Burf because it was mentioned

Well, banned faster than a dog on heat.

Oh well :(

Well I know this post is going to get me flamed, I just think it was a little too over the top. If you did that on wpw, your post would be moved (if they thought it was spammed) and half the time you get a email (same with warrior). Hmm I did not do this for a spamming or link thing because I never put any links on it, I did not even have a sig, just wanted to answer questions and add a little light.

Believe it or not but people do acturally get quite interested in asking me question on burf (income, why, how does it work, etc etc) and I like trying to spread my little bit of knowledge

Burf,

I use SEO Chat from time to time. Each forum has its own characteristics.

Here is the post (yes the english could of been improved, hardly a reason to ban)

"
Hello All

I found a post on google that mention my search engine on here and I thought I would join up and give some information about it

Burf.com has been around for 5 years but only really became a search engine in the last 2. It has a index of around 3 million sites (small I know) and receives a surprising amount of visitors

I call it an instant indexing search engine because it usually (depending on load) will index the submitted web url within a minute. (hardly instant I know but better than 3 months!)

I have started testing functions to allows the visitors to ban and rate sites (still in beta) This will then allow people to control their view of data and promote and demote sites

The site is due a redesign soon!

Maybe I should of pm'd the admin, I was in a little bit of a rush

Default Subtle

Burf,

the post looks fairly subtle to me. But rules, is rules.

Dont suppose you could pm the admin and ask him to email me what I did so wrong to get banned?

I mean I have been banned from a forum once but this forum was known for its strick rules and going over the top and I kinda had a argument with the admin, but this did go over many days and he still spams me now (lol)

burf, it seems to me you weren't just offering an alternative search engine as much as you were trying to promote your site... maybe they didn't want that in their forum. like dburdon said, their forum, their rules.
