Yes... I thought I tried a preview only and never posted this...

I beleive this works, and other extras, on a different forum.

I thought we were talking about testing methods to spam different forums with hidden text or links!

Guess I just got lost.

The spoiler tag is a fairly common thing. What it does is render the text within the tag the same color as the background. That way, if you post spoiler information, those people who don't care that it's a spoiler can simply highlight the area and read it. Those people that don't want to read the end of a new movie in a forum (for example) can just skip right past.

And no, it won't work here.

the only way to get this to work would be to change the color of the font like so:

test

highlight above this line and you should see the word "test".

I played with something similar . . (Well totally different really))

I placed a link in the top left hand corner of a section of pages - the link said SEX I did this on half my ford parts pages.

on the other half of my ford pages in addition I placed a very small image of 'girls legs' (top left hand corner) over a period of 6 months - I could pretty well prove the word sex was rendered 25% invisible. a larger percentage of users will not notice both - the Sex link had more value without the competing image in another location. (I never worked out how to calculated how many users I aggravated)

(I was just playing with the value of images against words- if you cannot play on your own website where can you play)

you have opened a pandoras box, people will start abusing this soon.

I should also add that the moderators on this forum are efficient and effective, very little spam gets through them.
