The brain most likely wasn't able to process the "F" in "OF".

Incredible or what?

Anyone who counts all six F's on the first go is a genius; three is normal.

This one caught me out completely, first off I only got three. Missed out all three of's completely. But yes there are six f's.

Reason being that when you skim read, which we all do, you don't actually read 'filler words' e.g. of. a, the, it, etc. So when asked to count the number of (e.g.) f's in a sentance you don't count the f's in of.

deal... I learned that in 7th grade Science... I cant remember the lady teachers name, but it was at W. D. Sugg Middle School in Bradenton, FL
