20 If the hour hand on a clock moves 1/60th of a degree every minute, how many degrees will it move in an hour?

21 Johnny's mother has 3 kids, one is named April, one is named May. What is the other one named?

22 In a one storey house the floor is blue and the walls and ceiling are white. What colour are the stairs?

23 A cowboy rode into town on Friday, spent the night, and left on Friday. How can this be?

24 I have two coins which add up to 15 pence and one of the coins is NOT a 10 pence piece. What are the two coins?

#3 is 1 hour. It's a wind up alarm clock which cannot discriminate between a.m. and p.m.

Here is on that requires some thought. It took me about 45 minutes to figure out.

Einsteins riddle
There are 5 houses in 5 different colors in a row.
In each house lives a person with a different nationality.
The 5 owners drink a certain type of beverage, smoke a certain brand of cigar, and keep a certain pet.
No owners have the same pet, smoke the same brand of cigar, or drink the same beverage.

Other facts:

1. The Brit lives in the red house.
2. The Swede keeps dogs as pets.
3. The Dane drinks tea.
4. The green house is on the immediate left of the white house.
5. The green house`s owner drinks coffee.
6. The owner who smokes Pall Mall rears birds.
7. The owner of the yellow house smokes Dunhill.
8. The owner living in the center house drinks milk.
9. The Norwegian lives in the first house.
10. The owner who smokes Blends lives next to the one who keeps cats.
11. The owner who keeps the horse lives next to the one who smokes Dunhill.
12. The owner who smokes Bluemasters drinks beer.
13. The German smokes Prince.
14. The Norwegian lives next to the blue house.
15. The owner who smokes Blends lives next to the one who drinks water.

The question is : WHO OWNS THE FISH?

I always liked Einsteins Fish riddle. You do know that Einstein supposedly wrote it and said that 98% of the world would not be able to solve it.

I can't wait to see what members come up with!

Anyone want to provide the next lateral thinking/brainteaser?

Here's an easy one.

If you were to put a coin into an empty bottle and then insert a cork into the neck, how could you remove the coin without taking out the cork or breaking the bottle?

Thats an easy one,

Push the cork right into the bottle then tip the coin out through the now empty neck :)

You're right Julian that one was rather simple...how about a couple of harder ones?

A survey was conducted of all the various mechanical modes of transportation people use to get to work each day. What did it find was the most common method of transportation?

"Try that story on Principal Pringle," said Scheming Suzie's school teacher. Suzie stood before Pringle and began, "I was on my way to school, and I cut through the park like I always do. Since I was early, I sat down on a bench to rest. I put my essay in my lunch bag, and set it beside me. Just then I noticed a black squirrel run past and scamper up a nearby tree. He was halfway up the tree when he suddenly froze and slowly backed down the tree trunk before taking off. I was curious to see what had frightened him so I looked up the tree and saw a red scarf. I climbed up to get it and just then a big dog grabbed my lunch bag with my essay in it, and ran off." Pringle sighed and replied, "Suzie, you can't possibly expect me to believe that one can you?" Why not?

How many cubic meters of dirt are in a hole 6 meters long, 2 meters wide, and one meter deep?

Ok if no one else is going to jump in here's my answers

1. Lift
2. IF this was a Eiropean post I'd say lie because you only get Red or Grey squirels. Alternatively squirrels can't back down tree's they can only walk forwards.
3. None its a hole

Once again you've outsmarted the questions!

1. Elevator/lift.
2. Lie. A squirrel would never back down a tree trunk, but rather, turn around and run down head first. Is there such a thing as a black squirrel? I've never seen one.
3. That one was easy...there is no dirt in a hole.

It's going to be hard to stump you guys. But I'm going to try one more time......

3 men go into a motel. The man behind the desk said the room is US$30, so each man paid US$10 and went to their room.

A while later the man behind the desk realized the room was only US$25, so he sent the bellboy to the 3 guys' room with US$5. On the way, the bellboy couldn't figure out how to split US$5 evenly between 3 men, so he decides to give each man US$1 and kept the other US$2 for himself.

This meant that the 3 men each paid US$9 for the room, which is a total of US$27. Add the US$2 that the bellboy kept brings the total to US$29.

Where is the other dollar!?

ooohh, triicckky, triicckky !

well the dollar is still there, in the 3 guy's hands I presume.
Lemme see... the room is $25, which means each guy really paid $8.33.
Add the $3 they got back and the $2 to the bellboy

(8.33 x 3)25 + 3 + 2 = 30

nice one Wen !
