Default Cheap PDA?

One of the people I work with thinks they 'need' a pda to make them more efficient. I have agreed to get him one, if only to keep him quiet - but i dont want to spend more than £100 - i know i can get a used one off ebay for about that much. But my question is what is the best cheap PDA (it must be able to connect to the net wirelessly).

Default PDA phones...

PDA phones are rather pricey. I don't think that'll fit into that range.

Connect to the web wireless is a trick. I added a CF card to mine for that (802.11) and it works well. It also leaves my SD slot open for memory. A co-worker got a Toshiba unit that had 802.11 built in for about that much from eBay.

I don't think there are any new ones worth using for that price.

What was the price you saw, Brian? I just saw an ad about them and have not had the time to check them out yet. I think I will do a search for them just to see what the price is. Pretty soon you will be able to get a all in one phone. Just about anything you want and than some.

Default Last I checked...

Last time I checked, they were still around $400 with a multi-year contract and having to pay for a data plan on top of the voice plan.

Default pDA Phone

Try T-Mobile for a Blackberry. I paid $29 (I think) for mine with a one-year contract. It has every feature you could want from a PDA and its a phone. One less thing to put in your pocket.

The thing about getting a phone is that i dont want to have to pay when i am using the net - the one i have at the mo just works automatically off my wireless network.

Get them the PDA with this added that they have to pay for net use. Or offer to pay for one year and they have to either renew it themselves or not.
