Default Ticketmaster.com Very Disappointed with their service...

I was very disapointed with Ticketmaster.com service this weekend. So disappointed that I was shaking with anger. It all started Friday. I purchased tickets to see the BET Gospel Explosion at Kings Dominion here in Virginia. I decided to use ticketmaster instead of buying the tickets at the park. What a mistake that was. First of all I spent approx 20 dollars in gas to get to the event. Wow, gas is expensive. It took me about a hour to get to the park.

Next I went to Will Call to get my tickets. Come to find out they don't have the tickets. I am starting to get angry at this point. I asked them to try ticketmaster to see if they could clear this mess up. I was told ticketmaster was closed so I phoned them just to see. No they were not closed but getting ready to. One of the representative did answer and take my credit card information to verify my tickets. But she puts me on hold. Then I am locked out of the system. The system informs me that the call center is closed. The anger level rises even higher. I then try to talk with Kings Dominion and they inform me since Ticketmaster is a 3rd party they could not do anything and all their reps in the park were gone for the night. I am hot.. Not only did I loose gas money but also ticket fare. So I wait until the next day to call ticketmaster after NOT attending the concert. I talk to the reps and they inform me I will not be getting my money back. They tell me that I can send a letter of complaint in. I am so pissed. But the saga is not over..

Did you wait until the last minute to order your tickets? Why didn't you have them delivered to you? I can't say as its ticketmaster's fault about gas prices though.

That's all they care about, anyway.

that's what happens when you have a monopoly... you can act with impunity because there are no competitors for others to go to.

Sounds like this ticketmaster does not care. You might try going up the ladder with them. The higher you go maybe you might get results.

Whatever you buy online, you need to print receipts. I know I want a paperless world but that doesn't work yet. We haven't used ticketmaster (not many events in Alaska available through them) but love Fandango because we can print out our tickets and don't have to mess with any will call stops.

I did print a receipt but I did not bring it because of what the message said I did not need it. Also, I did not wait until the last min. I could have picked the option of faxing the ticket but I decided not to because I used will call before and had better luck.

Default LOL!

Does anyone remember why Pearl Jam does not play concerts anymore??? in protest of ticketmaster

I grew up in the Seattle music scene Nirvana,Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, AIC, etc... The last time I used Ticketmaster was 98 or 99 I can't remember, I bought tickets to see a sold out show U2 at the Tacoma Dome for the Elevation tour! (awesome show btw) Ticketmaster was able to charge me for my tickets, but they were 'accidentally' givin to a ticket agency (nice way of saying online scalpers) So after paying $240.00 to ticketmaster (3rd row seats) I was told that my tickets were gone... but these guys have them... I was livid! still am and this is yrs ago! I ended up having to pay $650.00 for the same two tickets I'd already purchased! I couldn't pass on U2 but as far as ticketmaster goes.... they will never see another red cent from me or anyone that I can dissuade from using their services....

oh yeah and I never did get a refund on that credit card. So I closed that account and I was in collections for that $240.00 because I refused to pay it... NEVER DID PAY THEM... I don't care it's the principal of the matter </RANT>

Just a update.. I called Kings Dominion and talked to the customer relations people. They went and searched for my tickets again and found them this time. But of course I already missed the show. They called ticket master and explained the problem. Ticketmaster is supposed to give me a refund. Even though I have not seen it yet. Kings Dominion granted me a 30 dollar credit for anything in the park for all my trouble. I am glad this worked out because I was going to take either Kings Dominion or Ticketmaster to small claims court. Just the principal of the matter. I probably would have lost but I would have gotten some satisfaction from the situation...
