Needing Acronyms
The technological world we live in is filled with acronyms. Every day we add new ones. I am attempting to collect as many of the IT acronyms as I can - with the words they represent. Doesn't matter whether it's programming, web design, hardware, software, etc.
HELLLLPPPPPPPPPP!!! Again. Please?

Wen - do you already have a list started so as not to get overwhelmed with ones you already have, so repeats don't get submitted? Or are you just leaving open-ended and see what flows in?
Like, starting with "A" maybe:
API
Abbreviation of application program interface, a set of routines, protocols, and tools for building software applications. A good API makes it easier to develop a program by providing all the building blocks. A programmer puts the blocks together.

Glad to see you around :)
I like that one, I'm going to have to start using it with many of the BDU's I work with ;)

A few links you may find fun or useful:
http://www.hightechbuzzwords.com/ - searches the term/acronym you input and returns definitions
http://www.acronyms.ch/ is a bit to get used to at first, but the left column nav has an acronym database at the bottom
