No I like U2, I just don't like people posting affiliate links in the forum.

The only thing I see wrong with this post is the fact that U2 isn't coming to Michigan. :)

Caught U2 in Rupp Arena last tour.
I like 'em... but their ticket prices are a little silly. The show should have come with dinner (and drinks).
As far as I'm concerned, $100 for a lower arena seat borders on ego-mania from the band's perspective (we can charge anything!!) and reeks of desperation (hey I'm not old if I go to rock n roll shows!) on the part of the buyer.
(Personally, I blame the Eagles.)
But hey, like I said, I bought em last tour so call me a hypocrite...
However, I won't do it again.
It was a pretty good show though.

100 Bucks!
You got off cheap!
I only go to concerts that RULE!.. I'm old.. 40, and still kick'n butt with the best of them. U2 is worth every penny you paid.
It's all about doing something and having fun with friends. I'm lucky to have the friends that I have and I also think that the WPW is full of people who are real. That's the 1st step to making new friends.
Keep it real..

Hey, they're good, never meant to suggest otherwise.
A ticket is never too much if people will pay - and they will. For me though I had as much (or more) fun at the last Primus show I saw for $20 or Tool or Nine Inch Nails for about $50.
I aint trying to be a wet blanket or anything but short of a Roger Waters/Pink Floyd reunion type thing (never happen), I can't see any show being worth the inflated ticket prices some of these 'big' bands feel like charging.
But anyhoo...
U2 is a great band. I'm sure this show will be as good or better than the last tour and you should definitely catch em if that's your bag. Edge plays a mean guitar.

On June 7, 1997, I was able to gnab tickets to a sold out U2 concert in Detroit that following October. My friend who owns a record store / Ticketmaster outlet called me and was holding two for me.
Anyway, I was going to surprise my husband with the tickets in the fall but, once he got home that afternoon, I lasted about five minutes and told him.
The Detroit Red Wings won the Stanley Cup that night, too, so it was probably one of my favorite days EVER.
(The concert was great, too. Our seats were at the end of the runway so Bono sang to us and The Edge did a few solos over my head...I about fainted.)
