No I haven't visited your site carbonize, but now I will :) I've been collecting phobia's for a long time, about as long as I've been collecting psychology jokes, etc.

Default So Cool!

Dextrophobia- Fear of objects at the right side of the body.

Geniophobia- Fear of chins

Kosmikophobia- Fear of cosmic phenomenon

vfaulkner - You Rule! You have some cool suggestions when it comes to neat websites. That is where I got the above.

I am off to see 'carbonize.co.uk/phobias.php' if I can avoid the cosmalogical phenomena a bit longer - Dammit!, I keep getting struck by those bleedin' gamma radiations!

Very impressive, carbonize. I think we should add it to our list, vfaulkner.

I can't find the name for my most dreaded nightmare though, 'fear of discovering that you are blonde'. Can anybody help me with this? (o%

flaxyphillia - cute! :) You really got my phronemophobia going with that one. (Just so ya'll don't have to look it up, it's the fear of thinking)

I forgot a few more 'halloweenish' phobia's, such as:

Sciophobia - fear of shadows
Eosophobia - fear of dawn
Phengophobia - fear of daylight
Dipsophobia - fear of drinking
and lets not forget....
Teratophobia - fear of monsters!

I'm just glad that I'm not pantophobic! ;)

---------------------------------------------------

Vfaulkner and carbonize thanks for the extensive lists. I have yet to read through them but I look forward to it! I'd post mine, but I wouldn't want to aggravate anyone's logophobia. ;)

So anyone going to be dressin' up for this fun filled holiday? I'm going as myself, that always scares everyone! :)

Default ribbet

princepsmactoBufonidaeaphobia - fear in a prince of being turned into a toad

This is what I look like now, so I know what you mean about not having to dress up on Halloween.
It only hurts when I feed him something big, like a guinee pig.
I used to suffer from the 'fear of snakes eating a hole through your head' but I went to aversion therapy and now I feel kinda lonely without the little gaffer.

The clinic didn't even charge me for the treatment!

I didn't find a phobia on being audited - that is a challenge. I did find a few that I would say none of us are afraid of, what do you think?

Chrometophobia or Chrematophobia- Fear of money.
Ergophobia- Fear of work.
Logizomechanophobia- Fear of computers.
Plutophobia- Fear of wealth.

And this one, well I'm glad I don't suffer from it, because someone would ask what kind of phobia you have and you'd immediately panic! It's kind of like the 's' in lisp.

Hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia- Fear of long words.
