Default Increasing sales...

I have an affiliate site, selling furniture, household accessories etc.

Although it's been up and running for quite a while the sales have been very disappointing...perhaps someone might have some ideas as to how i could improve the site, and get people to buy from the stores that i advertise?

http://www.fresh-furniture.com

Any suggestions gratefully received.

Thanks

Hi Graf1771,

Welcome to the forum. Only had time to take a quick peek and noticed FurnitureFind seems to be one of your top merchants. Good choice, I hear they have a very good program. Your site design is very unique.
If you don't mind, let me take a more in-depth look later today and I will come back with some suggestions for you. Hopefully others will give you some feedback as well.

Graf1771,

Like I said your design is very unique. I personally did not find it conducive to making sales, but that's just IMHO. I found it a little hard to navigate to. I am not a very good site critic though. Why don't you submit to the site review forum and get some real "pros" to give you some feedback. After you tweak your design and navigation, then come back over here and I may be able to help you with some ideas to convert more browsers into buyers.

Best of Luck!

Graf:

First off, I know exactly where you're coming from. I've been doing this a year now and sales have been slow. I toop a look at your site and would like to offer my opinions

1. The site looks nice. I like the background color. Very good choice concerning the niche IMO

2. I think there is too much text. I have a problem at first on knowing what to look at. Concentrate on text for the merchant/product I think would be your best bet

3. It looks like you're just using CJ? You may want to look at using other networks as well so your eggs aren't all in one basket.

One thing I would change is the buy button. Here you have two choices. You can change all the buy buttons to Click Here for More Info or my personal choice would be to make a link out of it with good keywords. So if you're selling Lady Anne Queen Size bedding I would do the following:

Lady Anne Queen Sized Bedding

Be sure to use the above title in your alt tags for your images too:)

Hope this helps!
