Will other Affiliate Marketers agree on this ?

I want you to tell me if you are making money as Affiliate WITHOUT a List ?

I have sites with opt ins and use e-mail marketing, as well I tried to send targeted traffic directly to merchants.

I'm definitely a favor to market over e-mail marketing. Much better ROI for me.

Have you guy's experienced the same ? Or have you made money by direct linking to a merchant ?

Is there a secret to make money direct linking besides to send highly targeted traffic?

I don't have a list and I am earning commissions. One program I am
involved in supplies a preloaded Autoresponder where prospects enter
and I do a weekly broadcast besides the timed AR messages but the
conversion rate is very low. Some Marketers don't believe in Leads
and others say "it's all in the List".

So far I haven't had much luck with a "List" and I don't bother my
downline members with messages about the next latest and greatest
upstart business. That encourages program hopping and if a program
is a failure you got them to sign up to, your credibility is going to suffer.
