Default Affiliate biiding on keyword and using your display URL

We have an affiliate who is constantly making sales by bidding on our online website name in PPCs. Our websiteis at the top of the SERPS anyway. We try to remain on top.

I know some merchants will disallow this but I don't want to. I wonder what would you do in this situation? And also, in case i stop those affiliates, then competition out bid us, only solution i can forsee is to request them build their website and use display and landing url of their own to drive traffic.

Please help.

As long as you're making the sale I don't think I would care.

I agree with Janeth.
However you can forbid them to outbid you in PPC market (set max CPC).
If you have TM name, competition can't bid on it anyway.

I'd let them out bid me on all the keywords. I would rather pay a percent on the sale then a percent on a click that you have no idea rather it will turn into a sale or not.

It's not exactly like that.
If you allow outbidding for your TM keywords, you'll end up with paying more for them, having basically the same positions.
You have the same chance for conversion in either way, but you get cheaper ads and more chance for your ad being picked.

You have to either put up or shut up unfortunately.

If they are affiliates you have to either tell them they can not bid on your domain name, or just live with it. Bidding against them is not going to help you.

Please don't take offence here but it seems to me like you want the penny & the bun. You want affiliates to bring in sales for you, but only on the hard phrases that you don't rank for!

The affiliate is not your competiton

The more money you help your affiliate make the more money you will make. Instead of being concerned about bidding I'd be sending an email congradulating him/her and letting the affiliate know you're there to help

Hi,
what else if the Affiliate put their site in sponsored link with the same keyword and redirect the landing page with their affiliate ID? I agree on that Affiliate should not be allowed to bid on the TM, better solution to send email to them & inform them that we are very much aware on what are you doing and suggest them some related keywords they can bid on.
