Default The NEW Google Checkout

So who else feels the release of Google Checkout may usher in the dark days for PayPal and yes...even Amazon. Also, what do you think it will do for YOU as an affiliate?

Brush up on Google Checkout HERE and come back.

Google Checkout + Google affiliate program + Google CPA model on clicking

AND

this is the death to tons of affiliate communities that help to process money and track the sales.

BTW, StephenR, will YOU join it?

And how do you like their list of restrictions
https://checkout.google.com/seller/c..._policies.html

I liked the part about 'Financial products, services and stored value', 'Subscriptions', 'Securities', 'Travel packages and offers', 'Rebate-based businesses'
- funny, isn't it?

I'd love to see Checkout kick paypals @$$ out of existence. I never did like paypal's arrogant 'we can drain your bank account anytime for any reason' policy. Hopefully Checkout will follow a much more ethical route.

Then maybe one day Google will come out with their own OS - maybe call it Gindows, and go on to wipe MS off the face of the planet. Muuuoowaaahahaha!!!

Heh heh heh.. now I'm just fantasizing. But hey, it could happen!

what about ebay banned google's payment system....

Plus - I read that the Google checkout will only appear on SPONSORED results - so does this mean you need to be a adwords user to get the icon (if people will ever look for it)

Yeah, eBay was a fine drop of news. The sharks are biting each other. Plus Google Checkout is US only. But they've just started.

Let's hope this time they improve what they started.

I don't think Google Checkout will ruin Paypal. It will be successful, draw a solid base of users, but I think it will just be part of concurrence.

They're doing right thing by motivating adwords customers, but didn't "paypal's startup site" e-bay have greater potential for online payment processing service? I think eBay was THE thing that helped to make Paypal so successful.
Will discounts for adwords customer help Google Checkout to grow rapidly enough to defeat opponents? ..I don't think so.
