Default Value Driven Affiliate Sites

What exactly is a value driven affiliate site to you? Some may say product reviews, others content articles others no content at all. I posted this because after Ecomxpo I wanted to get a discussion going on this topic and I thought this could be a great thread for everyone to learn something.

Hi Jack,

Great question! Sorry I have not been here for a couple weeks. Was busy moving, nursing my carpal tunnel and my own forum is getting so busy I just can't get over here as much.

I think there are LOTS of ways for affiliates to add value. Just think as if you were a consumer or potential customer. "If I were shopping for an ABC type product, what else would I want to know? What would be a helpful tool?" How to articles, reviews, comparisons, some type of tool to make deciding easier or using the product easier. Really depends somewhat on the market and type of product.

Great topic. What do you guys think???

In another thread I mentioned coupons. However obviously this would still be considered dup content. Yet the search engines still love these sites. Comments?

I would have to say a website that provides value to its customers(obviously). Seriously though, what I mean is a website that gives it's viewers what they are looking for, wich usually, on the internet is information. So I would have to say useful information/good content. Also freebies (such as a free report or some type of software) would add value to a website. Basically whatever satisfies the needs or wants of the viewers, and whatever gives them what they are looking for. For example if someone is looking specifically for ways to increase traffic to their website, and on your site they find a great tutorial, or great tips for doing so that actually work, that would be an immensly value driven website.

But now we come to the biggest argument in this debate:

Are your customers looking for info or looking to buy?

For me I would fit in the latter category as a page full of text turns me off.

Now that REALLY depends on where they are in the buying cycle and also what type of person they are. 20 people could answer that differently.
