Default The RICH JERK? Share Success Stories Here please

Has anyone else heard of THE RICH JERK? There has been a lot of talk about him recently. He has an 'anti-marketing' technique which really gets noticed. One of his sites also recently sold on ebay for 360,000. dollars. I purchased his ebook and it really helped me with one of my sites. It really changed the way I work online, and has really increased site revenue by 800. per month. I want to know if anyone else has had any big success with it and if so can you please share your stories. I also made a website THANK YOU RICH JERK to share my story. I hope I'm allowed to put the link to that here. I'm new to the Forum world and i'm a little unclear about the rules. :) Best of luck to you all. Take care.

Hi Holly,

With all the publicity that Rich Jerk is getting I think you have a very clever site and a good way to capitalize on that 'jerk'. ;-)

Rich Jerk is Kelly Felix. I talked with a person (famous forum owner) who talked to him personally.

Want to get more details? Now you know what name to search for...

By the way, many people I have talked with, say about Rich Jerk thing the following.

Well, it works. But you must be ready to work hard, invest much time and money into publicity (AdWords, forums, article submission, etc.)

I know that Kelly Felix has enough money to pay for expensive AdWords campaigns. The sums are not small.

But without huge publicity expenses the rich jerk principle does not work. The psychological trick is to pay much money and get rumors going here and there. Will an average or newbie online entrepreneur be able to cover these expenses?

P.S. You have a nice web site indeed. But you are just joining the wave that was made ny another person. Do you believe that without huge investments you can make the same rumor/ad wave for you? Do you know how much it cost to Kelly to start this wave going. It was not $10,000, I think much more.

So, his idea is superb. But he is taking the fruits, and you get the leftover from this marketing boom.

Well I agree with you that you must be ready to work to have a successful online presence. But it does not require paying large amounts of money in advertising. YES the RICH JERK, Kelly Felix, has paid a lot of money for Adwords campaigns. It has definitely worked for him but I am not trying to be the "Next Rich Jerk" ..I'm just using his techniques to increase my site's revenue and it has worked quite well. I'm not sure about everyone else who purchases the book, but hopefully they understand that it takes work and the odds are against them becoming online millionaires over night - or ever. His book offers a good starting point and for those who are more experienced it offers more information and useful techniques. So, if you do decide to go with AdWords and you end up paying a lot in advertising it's due to the high competition you have with similar sites. The book offers advise on how to avoid that if you choose a niche site that is not as commonly searched for online...Well that's all for now. Good luck and thanks for your comment. :)

Hmm I just found something intresting.

The eBay Auctions for the ebay user: leadgeneratingwebsites, is selling concepts from the Rich-Jerk eBook that they beleive are beneficial for $9.95 and it has the content from www.Thankyourichjerk.com on it, including your photo.

What I also noticed is that the location that you have on this forum, says that you are in Thailand, and the eBay Auction says its in Milwaukee, Wisonconsin.

One of the eBay Auctions

Default Good Observation

Good Observation about my ad. I moved to Thailand 4 months ago from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. And, I haven't changed my address on ebay yet. That's all! There's no scandal. :) But you've got a good eye! :) Take care!

I like the poor jerk better.
http://thepoorjerk.net

I agree that if you spend a lot of money on adwords, yes, you will see return on your invesment. Nothing new.

I don't know what to think of this rich jerk: it's either a reflection of our deplorable gullible status or plain clever marketing by appealing to negative marketing.

But I am not surprised it has lasted as long as it has. People are attracted to crap in America. Crap sells, as John Reese once said. I am convinced now.

Are there other affiliate ebooks as good or better than "The Rich Jerk"?

Does Idaho grow potatoes?

Yes. Tons. But it's way cheaper to buy your books at your local book store where you won't find typical best sellers (in hard print even) for $97!
