Default All posters affiliate program

Hi guys,

Started my site about 3 months ago and am getting some really good traffic. (1000+ uniques/day) I have associates with allposters.com

My site is dedicated to cute female celebrities, and photos and wallpapers of them. All of great quality, so I looked for something similar to promote, and found allposters.

I then added a entire poster page for each celebrity on the site with posters from allposters on them, like a store

example
http://famousqt.com/allposters.asp?celeb=4

However even with 300+ uniques sent to allposters I have yet to get any money.

I dont expect much, but after having this up for 2 months with the posters, should have given me something. I almost feel like I am giving free traffic away from my site.

Does anyone have any sugestions about my poster pages to get at least a purchace. Or mabie another affiliate program that might perform better on my page?

TGO - I feel ya!!

I own a Female Celebrity site too and I've run this affiliate program for 16 months and made a big whopping zero as a result. As a matter of fact, I'm in the process of removing all of their code from my site; I'm not going to give them links and pass along PR and get nothing from it .... just me.

However, my pages are static html, so I am going through the process of modifying the pages to remove their code and simply replace with pictures so that I don't have to worry about any possible 404 errors or have to set up a specific errordoc / htaccess rule.

By the way, I've seen your site somewhere else I think ... did you post it at locationlohan by chance? It looks nice, I remember that we have some similar celebs like Kristin Kreuk, Amanda Bynes and a few others ... take a look at freshdames ... maybe we could do some collaboration.

Wow 16 months... Can you say how many clicks in the timeframe?

Have you tried art.com? Wonder if they perform any better.... hmmm.

I plan to leave the code for now, but I am watching it and if it continues, I will be mailing allposters.com asking if anyone makes anything from them or they just like getting free clicks and PR, before I remove it.

I probably did post at locationlohan as I have been looking for links at many places, so many I cant remember anymore :P

If you are interested in collaboration, I am open.

My linking structure all are open to changes.

Partners - 88x31 banner on every page except the full image page(it gets no clicks anyway) 15k impessions a day.

Link exchanges - get a spot in the link directory availble from the bottom of all pages. (might be moved to top soon) will get a text link banner rotation when its done at the top of every wallpaper/photo.

Related celeb sites/fan sites/image galaries/wallpaper galaries
All these links are free, and no reciprical link needed. Just add the pages to the right celeb. I use this to compliment my site not promote it.

If you are interested in these or any other ideas let me know.

I'd have to go through different emails to come up with any kind of guess on the numbers ... don't have an educated guess off the top of my head. FreshDames is but the main domain and I have more than 10 subdomains on the site.

As far as linking, I really don't exchange links with other sites, but I do have a few. However, they are page or celebrity specific, not site-wide, and personally, I prefer text links versus graphic links, as the former carries good weight with keyword anchor text and images simply don't.

Take a look around FreshDames, and if you have some similar, complimentary pages that you'd like to propose linking to/from, let me know.

On your links page - I found this misspell on
http://www.famousqt.com/addLinkMain.asp
Galarys » should be "galleries" ?

Also, not sure if you'd want to use celebritys as seen on http://www.famousqt.com/LinkDir.asp versus celebrities.

Thanks for the typo corrections. Will get that tonight at some point.

As for linking. We can do a celeb to celeb link exchange for the matching ones of our site. I saw your banners linking to each celeb. I would say just text links on my links page for that celeb would be best.

I like graphics links for partners(they are just as good as text links when done right with ALT/TITLE attributes, in fact more keywords can be passed and a larger description for less space is made. Most people just put the graphic and link it, and i agree it does almost nothing for passing keywords. If you hover over the partners banners, it has the long description there and ALT has the keywords to pass. If I did it any other way, you would be right.

Totaly up to you.
