This may be a question I have to find out for myself but I'll ask it anyway. What's are the best ways to promote a site(mine is www.theentrepreneursspot.com) And, are people really making money with the affiliates? How? Is there any one out there?

Welcome to WebProWorld. Beautiful site!

One of the biggest things you need to do to promote your site is learn search engine optimization. It looks like you bought some sort of template, pretty but not optimized to get traffic, especially with the front page only flash and with no meta title.

The search engine forums here can teach you a lot and you can ask questions there about SEO. As far as affiliate programs. 1st you need to learn how to get traffic. Then find and add affiliate products that you think your visitors would be interested in.

Here's a good thread to get you started. http://www.webproworld.com/viewtopic.php?t=21311

The site would have a few problems with making money as it stands, and not just on the search engine front.

Human beings hate "splash" pages like the one you use for your homepage, just as much as search engines do.

Also, white font on a blue background--ouch! No one's going to read it, even the people who somehow made it past the splash page. Black font on white background only.

There seem to be a rash of websites about how to make money on the internet made by people who obviously do not know how to make money on the internet. Your site isn't one of those, is it?

Also, anything having to do with entrepreneurs is way way saturated. You're better off doing something that has not been done to death...macrame? If I knew the perfect website to start of course I'd go and start it rather than telling you about it. But basically you want something with a strong demand and little competition. Like anything else in business!
